Business Analyst (2277)

Responsibilities

The main objectives of the Business Analyst are to provide outstanding advisory services to key Blue Square clients, create a core consulting function which manages and coordinates our activities in the U.S.

  • Deliver high quality analytical insights that synthesize data analysis and research into key findings and actionable recommendations for clients and internal partners.
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute activities required to support Blue Square Advisory Services strategies, priorities and client engagements.
  • Support multi-faceted engagements for Blue Square clients including collaborating with business lines across Regional and Functional areas.
  • Interface with internal and external clients to understand problems, test hypotheses and shape interim results.
  • Prepare formal client presentations that present conclusions and build consensus.
  • Develop consulting tools and approaches to enhance ongoing Blue Square Advisory engagements and service offerings through new analytic approaches and creative thinking.

As a Blue Square Business Analyst your role is to:

  • Identify critical information requirements and sources.
  • Develop high-quality analysis.
  • Translate data into meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Assess the most pressing issues our clients face.
  • Synthesize conclusions into recommendations and work directly with senior leaders to implement change.
  • Share insights and recommendations with team and client.
  • Develop a plan to solve the client's problem and/or increase efficiencies.

Business Analysts also have opportunities to contribute to the management and growth of BlueSquare Advisory Services through involvement in areas such as:

  • New client development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics or Finance from a top-tier institution or similar academic experience required.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Excellent professional and academic track record.
  • 2-3 years of management consulting or investment banking experience.
  • Payments industry experience a plus, but not required.
  • Global/multi-national company exposure a plus, but not required.
  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Highly Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Ability to work independently within a complex environment.
  • Ability to develop content independently and prioritize work flow with limited supervision.
  • Ability to handle multiple project workstreams, with proven success in synthesizing large data sets related to a wide variety of functional business problems.
  • Eagerness to work intensively in joint teams with personnel of all levels to accomplish project objectives.
  • Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages in written and verbal communications.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
